Who remembers Carolus Clusius (1526-1609)? He brought the tulip to Antwerp and introduced us to potatoes, beans, and salsify. Christophe Plantin and his successors printed his books.

Clusius was born five hundred years ago. We are celebrating this anniversary with an exhibition of the most beautiful flowers and plants from the museum's own collections, from the 16th to the 20th century. The courtyard has also been redesigned, inspired by Clusius's Hortus Botanicus in Leiden.
