Travelling expo: Japanese Woodcut

In this mini-exhibition, storyteller Mokuhanga Magic highlights the craftsmanship of the Japanese woodcut.

The exhibition shows the printing process of the Japanese woodcut. Woodblocks, materials, prints, and a documentary illustrate the different steps of this fascinating printing technique.

In the exhibition, we provide both a brief historical overview and a visual insight into the different steps of the printing process of a Japanese woodcut by means of working materials, wood plates, prints and a documentary film.
