In this workshop you'll first view book illustrations, prints and drawings. Then you’ll learn how to make a drypoint etching as you get to work with plexiglass, ink and a centuries-old etching press.

Etching emerged in the 16th century as a new form of reproductive printmaking. Important artists such as Van Dyck and Rembrandt were true masters of the technique.

During the workshop, you work in an atelier space. Your ticket is valid for a full-day visit to the rest of the museum.

  • Workshop for pupils from 8 to 25 years old and for adults
  • Maximum 12 people per workshop

Maximum 90 minutes

  • Price for the guide: €105 (+ administration fee: €5 for schools, €25 for groups)
  • You can purchase entrance tickets for the museum separately, access to the museum is free for school groups
