Collection & research
The Museum Plantin-Moretus conducts ongoing research into its own collection. It also provides scientific services to other institutions, specialists and students, and to the general public. In this way, the Museum has expanded a small group of connoisseurs into a large group of enthusiasts.
Our collections
The collections of the Museum Plantin-Moretus are extremely diverse. Most of them are closely connected to the business operations and family life of Christoffel Plantin and his successors, the Moretus family. Discover a large part of these unique collections in the online catalogues: printing plates, presses, casting moulds, type cases, stamps and matrices, furniture, prints and drawings, paintings, and much more.
